Clinical needs assessment to inform development of a new assay to detect antimalarial drugs in patient samples: A case study
- Abstract:
- TPP1 describes a lab-based tool with quantitative readout for research purposes. TPP2 describes a rapid, point-of-care format, as was initially envisioned. Based on reported interest in applications of the proposed assay, development focused on TPP1. Desired assay sensitivity is reported in days post treatment as drug concentrations will vary with the pharmacokinetic properties of drug targets.
