Intravascular ultrasound-guided revascularization of a chronically occluded left main coronary artery.

Abstract:: We describe a case of a left main coronary artery (LMCA) chronic total occlusion (CTO), which we elected to treat through percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). In this case report, we briefly review the prevalence of LMCA CTO, discuss the feasibility of PCI versus surgical revascularization and highlight the importance of intravascular ultrasound in the guidance of these complex procedures.
