Abstract:

A significant enhancement of the applicability of the serine protease subtilisin Bacillus lentus (SBL) in peptide synthesis was achieved by using the strategy of combined site-directed mutagenesis and chemical modification to create chemically modified mutant (CMM) enzymes.
