2,3 : 6,7-di-O-diethylidene-D-glycero-L-talo-heptono-1,4-lactone
- Abstract:
- The title compound, C17H28O7, was prepared from protected D-glycero-D-gulo-heptono-1,4-lactone by tandem SN2 displacements. The relative configuration of the crystal structure establishes that two stereocentres have been inverted; the absolute configuration was determined by the use of D-glucose as the starting material. There are three independent molecules in the asymmetric unit (Z′=3). © 2006 International Union of Crystallography. All rights reserved.
