Flux-line crossing in the vortex-liquid phase of YBa2Cu3O7- delta.

Abstract:
Using the theoretical expressions for the flux-line crossing energies it is shown that the onset of longitudinal dissipation in the dc flux transformer experiments performed by de la Cruz, Lopez, and Nieva can be explained by the onset of flux-line crossing. It is also argued that the shoulder in the transverse resistivity is a consequence of flux-line crossing. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
