ELECTROMAGNETIC DECAY OF N-17

Abstract:

The radiative decay properties of the first 16 bound states in 17N with Ex < 5.8 MeV have been studied using the 11B(7Li, pγ)17N reaction at E = 6 MeV. Proton-gamma coincidence data were taken with an annular particle detector located at 180° and a Ge(Li) detector placed at θγ = 3°, 45° and 90°. Angular distributions, branching ratios and Doppler shifts were measured.
