Abstract:

Community acquired pneumonia (CAP) is the leading cause of death from infectious disease in the UK, with more than 250,000 hospitalised episodes in adults each year. CAP predominantly affects older adults who frequently experience high burdens of mortality and morbidity in both short and long-term.
