It's getting personal
- Abstract:
- They all look alike, but according to new research by Bijleveld and colleagues, each Red Knot Calidris canutus has its own personality. For people working with these birds, or any other bird species, it must come as no surprise that each individual behaves differently. Even though the study of animal personality is booming - personalities are studied from Hyenas to Great Tits - Bijleveld's investigation is the first to quantify personality differences within a wader.
