Observation of CP violation in the B0 meson system

Abstract:: The measurements of time-dependent complex-parameter (CP) violations in neutral particles using a BABER detector was presented. The events undergoing the neutral B meson reconstruction in a final state containing charmonium which determined the flavor of the other neutral B meson from its decay products were selected. The CP-violating asymmetry amplitude was derived from the decay time distribution in these events and was found to be proportional to the CP-violatinng asymmetries.
