MULTIPLE TWINNING AND RECRYSTALLIZATION

Abstract:: The disorientations produced by the process of multiple twinning have been calculated for up to the 6th twin generation. These results are discussed in the light of new in situ experimental observations on the process of recrystallization. It is concluded that recrystallization textures in low- to-medium stacking fault energy materials are controlled by more complex mechanisms than simple energy balance considerations.
