Structural and catalytic properties of Mn oxo-clusters supported on mesoporous MCM-41

Abstract:

A novel carbon monoxide oxidation catalyst based on highly dispersed Mn oxo-species grafted onto the internal wall of an MCM-41 material is described. This material is prepared via the chemical reaction of Mn2(CO)10 with Si-OH groups on the surface of mesoporous silica, followed by subsequent heat treatment in air.
