Electronic monitoring of patients in general wards.
- Abstract:
- If set up by appropriately trained staff, electronic patient monitoring can aid patient care in general ward areas. However, this article argues that if poorly set up or misunderstood, it can be undervalued, underused and ignored. Poor training and understanding of the equipment can lead to poor outcomes for patients.
