Improved characterisation and quantification of proteins using differential isotope labeling

Abstract:

The characterization and quantification of proteins in MALDI spectra were improved using differential isotope labeling. Peptide mass fingerprints were acquired on a Voyager DE-STR reflector MALDI-ToF mass spectrometer. All product ion spectra were acquired on a Q-ToF I instrument equipped with a dual electrospray source. The collision energy was optimized for each peptide analyzed.
