Abstract:

OBJECTIVE: To estimate the incidence of peripartum hysterectomy in an Italian Region (Emilia-Romagna) and investigate its association with cesarean delivery. DESIGN: Population-based retrospective study using hospital discharge records. SETTING: All public and private hospitals in Emilia-Romagna region, Italy.
