Antiferrodistortive structural phase transition in the Jahn-Teller system DyKMoO. II. Magnetic field dependence

Abstract:

We have measured the magnetic field dependence of the electronic excitations of DyKMoO, which undergoes a cooperative Jahn-Teller distortion at T=14 K. The Raman spectrum shows two modes at 2 K which split into a number of peaks with increasing field. New low-energy excitations are observed which are interpreted as arising from the splitting of the ground and excited states.
