A proportion of patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) without acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibodies have antibodies to muscle-specific kinase (MuSK). MG with MuSK antibodies (MuSK-MG) is often associated with persistent bulbar involvement, including marked facial weakness and tongue muscle wasting.
