Is there a ghost in LX Ser?

Abstract:: Skew mapping is a technique ideally suited to detecting the secondary in cataclysmic variables, when working from noisy spectra. At the limit of the technique, qualitative considerations of map appearance may lure the user to a false conclusion. We show an example of this, and how we circumvented this difficulty.
