A fundamental experimental and numerical study of large scale morphodynamics of sandbanks in steady and oscillatory flows

Abstract:: This paper describes the experimental set up, data analysis, and preliminary results of physical model tests carried out to study large scale morphodynamics of sandbanks in a large basin under steady and simulated tidal flows. A comparison is also made between the experimental results and numerical predictions. © 2007 World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
