Cyclosporin for severe ulcerative colitis does not increase the rate of perioperative complications.

Abstract:

PURPOSE: Cyclosporin is used in severe ulcerative colitis that is refractory to intravenous steroids. Cyclosporin is a potent immunosuppressant and can cause side effects such as opportunistic infections.
