Baggrund: Kroniske inflammatoriske sygdomme (CIDs) associeret med en vestlig livsstil inkluderer Crohn’s sygdom, colitis ulcerosa, reumatoid artrit, axial spondylartrit, psoriasis artrit og psoriasis, der alle er tæt relaterede. De er en stor byrde for patienterne og sundhedssystemet og er desværre ikke mulige at kurere.
