Asymmetric organocatalytic relay cascades: catalyst-controlled stereoisomer selection in the synthesis of functionalized cyclohexanes.

Abstract:: (figure represented) Passing the baton: A relay cascade process provides cyclohexanes in a direct, efficient, and stereoselective manner. The triple-cascade reaction is efficient, affords high selectivities, and has a broad scope, and different diastereomers are readily accessible by judicious choice of organocatalysts. © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH and Co. KGaA.
