LINEAR ACCELERATION EMISSION IN PULSAR MAGNETOSPHERES

Abstract:

Linear acceleration emission occurs when a charged particle is accelerated parallel to its velocity. We evaluate the spectral and angular distribution of this radiation for several special cases, including constant acceleration (hyperbolic motion) of finite duration.
