A data analysis service for steady-state voltammetry via the World Wide Web

Abstract:
Efficient fully-implicit steady-state numerical simulations have been developed using expanding grids for channel and channel microband electrodes and in conformal space for microdisk, spherical and rotating disk electrodes. These simulations employ state-of-the-art multigrid and preconditioned Krylov subspace methods to solve the very large sparse linear systems resulting from finite difference discretization and global linearization via Newton's method. These have been used to generate working surfaces for a range of common electrochemical mechanisms (including second-order EC2, EC2E, DISP2 and EC′ processes). Based on this data, a WWW service (http://physchem.ox. ac.uk:8000/wwwda) has been set up to permit analysis of experimental kinetic data.
