Small twist angle measurement in homogeneously aligned liquid crystal cells

Abstract:

During the liquid crystal display manufacture a small twist angle is usually generated. This causes light leakage in the black state and degrades the electro-optical properties of the cells. Therefore, an accurate twist angle measurement is necessary to improve the manufacturing process and the cell properties.
