STABILITY OF INTERCONNECTED SYSTEMS.

Abstract:
In this paper the concept of block diagonal dominance is used to generalize Rosenbrock's Nyquist array stability theorem, and extend a number of recently developed robust stability results to interconnected systems. These results allow a feedback design problem involving a large number of loops to be decomposed into a number of problems of lower dimension.
