SEMITRANSPARENT ROTATING-DISK ELECTRODE
- Abstract:
- At a semitransparent rotating disc electrode, species are generated photochemically close to the electrode and they then react on the electrode. The theory is developed for a species being generated, transported by convection and diffusion and decaying by first order kinetics. The theory is tested with the ferrioxalate system. The shape of the photocurrent voltage curves show that photogenerated trisoxalatoiron(II) reacts on the electrode. The limiting photocurrent decreases with increasing rotation speed. Reasonable agreement with theory is found. © 1977.
