A comparison of existing and new methods for Torsade de Pointes risk classification based on multi-ion channel screening

Abstract:
omputational methods for predicting Torsades de Pointes (TdP) risk commonly use ion channel data for three currents: IKr, INa and ICaL. Here we investigated whether using screening data for additional currents (INaL, IKs, Ito and IK1) improves predictions. We used a recent manual patch-clamp dataset of multi-ion channel block for 30 drugs to compare different computational methods for predicting TdP risk.
