Investigation of a variable peripheral cavity feed for front-fed reflector antennas

Abstract:
This paper presents experimental results obtained for a variable peripheral cavity waveguide feed during the investigation of small reflector antenna configurations suitable for sequential lobing and a continuous beam steering tracking operation. The results, detailing primary and secondary, copolar, cross-polar and phase characteristics, extends the work previously published and highlights the operational capabilities of the system.
