A fresh assessment of a small stone plaque from China

Abstract:

This contribution describes the analytical examination of a small stone trapezoidal plaque (1938,0524.400) in the British Museum collection. The plaque is poorly preserved: the reddish-brown and cream surfaces are damaged and much of the engraved design at the front has been lost.
