Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is a rare cause of coronary ischemia. Its prognosis is uncertain and the optimal treatment is not fully defined. We report a case of spontaneous dissection of the left anterior descending artery in a healthy post-menopausal woman, in whom the initial strategy of medical therapy was unsuccessful.
