Regulatory T cell (Treg) therapy is a promising strategy to induce transplant tolerance and may permit a reduction of IS chemotherapy and its toxic side effects. The ONE study clinical trial is currently examining Treg cell therapy in combination with low tacrolimus (TAC) in living donor kidney recipients.
