Abstract:

Major depressive disorder is a mood and emotional disorder characterized by persistent low mood and lack of interest. Both reward and punishment learning deficits have been associated with depression. In this thesis, we aim to examine whether biases in reward and punishment learning adaptations to the volatility level of the environments could also be associated with depression disorders.
