Optimization of high-resolution image simulations II. Image selection in reciprocal space
- Abstract:
- A mathematical criterion for the selection of the optimum high-resolution image simulation is proposed based on a comparison of the Fourier transforms of simulated and experimental images directly in reciprocal space. The method is similarly demonstrated using model experimental images of YBa2Cu3O7-δ and again the more general problems of image similarity assessment and the practical utilization of the method are also discussed.
