Characterisation of astrocyte diversity in the multiple sclerosis motor cortex

Abstract:

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system where neurodegeneration often leads to irreversible disability. Clinical and pathological heterogeneity is the rule, with genetic (e.g. HLA-DRB1*15 status) and environmental factors playing important roles.
