Linear sweep voltammetry at randomly distributed arrays of microband electrodes

Abstract:
Randomly distributed microband arrays are characterized in terms of their voltammetric response to a reversible electron transfer in a linear sweep experiment. The conditions required for diffusional independence of the bands are quantified. It is shown that bands must be packed less densely at a random array compared with a regular array to achieve an equivalent level of current sensitivity. © 2007 American Chemical Society.
