THE PREPARATION AND REACTIVITY OF SOME PHOTOACTIVABLE REACTIVE DYES

Abstract:
A survey of the potential application of a range of carbenes as the reactive intermediates for the irreversible attachment of a dye to its substrate has been undertaken. A dye, modified with a carbene precursor, has been subjected to laser photolysis, and shown to insert with low efficiency into alcoholic solvents. © 1993.
