Neuronal accumulation of poly(ADP-ribose) after brain ischaemia.

Abstract:

Animal and in vitro studies suggest that overactivation of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) in response to oxidative DNA damage makes a substantial contribution to cell death after brain ischaemia.
