A combination of immunocytochemistry (ICC) and in-situ hybridization (ISH) applied to formalin-fixed tissue sections was used to analyse the differential expression of calcitonin and CGRP genes, at both peptide and mRNA levels, in normal and neoplastic human thyroid C cells.
