OBJECTIVE: To compare resource use by diagnostic outcome among hospital admissions during which tuberculosis (TB) was suspected. DESIGN: Retrospective study based on chart review and microbiology laboratory data. SETTING: The department of medicine in a municipal hospital serving central Brooklyn, New York.
