Abstract:

Allelic differences are known to influence many important aspects of class II biosynthesis, including subunit assembly, Ii chain associations, and DM-mediated peptide loading. Mutant mouse strains lacking Ii chain expression have been previously studied on mixed genetic backgrounds.
