The retinoid agonist Tazarotene promotes angiogenesis and wound regeneration

Abstract:
Promoting angiogenesis is a major goal of regenerative medicine, but no clinically approved small molecule exists that enhances new blood vessel formation. To identify such small molecules we successfully miniaturised an in vitro endothelial tube formation assay to be adapted for high throughput screening.
