Abstract:

The MIPAS (Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding) instrument has been operating on-board the ENVISAT satellite since March 2002. In the first two years, it acquired in a nearly continuous manner high resolution (0.025 cm-1 unapodized) emission spectra of the Earth's atmosphere at limb in the middle infrared region.
