Urban energy-use : guidance on reducing environmental impacts

Abstract:
Energy related emissions are the dominant cause of poor air quality in urban areas. This air pollution leads to local health and environmental impacts, many of which are thought to disproportionately affect the urban poor. Reducing emissions is, therefore, a key aspect. This study set out to provide guidance to help target resources towards the most efficient ways of improving air quality in urban areas.
