Electron microscopy of crack/particle interactions in Al2O3/SiC nanocomposites

Abstract:

Crack/particle interactions in alumina/silicon carbide nanocomposites have been investigated by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, with cracks induced by Vickers microindentation.
