The talin FERM domain is not so FERM

Abstract:
The structure of the head domain of talin, an intracellular activator of integrin membrane adhesion receptors, has been solved by Elliott et al. (2010). A FERM domain can be identified in the head from sequence comparisons but, rather than having a compact structure of three subdomains, it has linear arrangement of four subdomains. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd.
