Abstract:

Tl-based high-temperature superconductors have attractive properties for applications in a range of high-frequency analogue and digital technologies. While the patterning of Tl-containing superconductors is a vital part of thin-film device preparation, the high degree of toxicity of Tl makes conventional patterning of Tl-containing films, which produce some toxic waste products, unattractive.
