The Upper Coniacian and Santorian ammonite faunas of Westphalia

Abstract:

The high Coniacian and Santonian ammonite faunas of the Münster Basin are systematically and stratigraphically revised. They comprise 32 species, referred to 20 genera. In addition to SCHLÜTER's (1871-1876) type-material, the accessible specimens figured by RIEDEL (1931) and LOMMERZHEIM (1995) are redescribed and partially refigured.
