Thymic cysts originate from Foxn1 positive thymic medullary epithelium.

Abstract:

Thymic epithelial cells (TECs), derived from polarized two-dimensional (2D) oriented endodermal cells, are distinguished from other epithelial cells by their unique three-dimensional (3D) phenotype.
