Introduction:
Almost 7,000 people are diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in the United Kingdom each year, but there remains uncertainty regarding its natural history and optimal management. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate factors contributing to the epidemiology of DCIS and its outcomes.
