Youth, children and families:in autere times: change, politics and a new gender order

Abstract:
In this end piece, I comment on and connect the five preceding substantive articles about inequality in the years of austerity following the financial crisis and link their arguments to my own work on youth. I argue that the long decades of deindustrialisation and the more recent post-crisis austerity climate may be reshaping the old sexual/gender contract that defined the Fordist era.
